ROCS: PRECAST EFFICIENCY BASED ON RHEDA 2000®

ROCS combines the proven composite design principle of RHEDA 2000® with a significantly higher degree of prefabrication, creating an efficient ballastless track solution.

Weighing approximately one tonne, the precast slabs can be transported and installed without specialized machinery, while steel lattice girders, transverse prestressing and shear dowels ensure a stable, monolithic structure. The result: simplified logistics, fast installation and the proven system quality of RHEDA 2000®.

ROCSTHE PRECAST BALLASTLESS TRACK VERSION OF THE PROVEN RHEDA 2000® SYSTEM

The ROCS system takes the proven RHEDA 2000® principle, consisting of a precast bi-block unit integrated into a monolithic composite structure with cast-in-place concrete, to the next level by significantly increasing the proportion of precast elements.

As in the original system, a steel lattice girder ensures a monolithic composite structure and a continuous track slab. Weighing approximately one tonne and featuring two pairs of rail support points, the precast slabs can be transported and installed without the need for specialised machinery.

Shear dowels beneath the construction joints, transverse prestressing and the use of RAILONE’s proven spindle brackets ensure stability without the need for additional crack-width control measures.

ROCS combines the benefits of high-quality precast manufacturing with the proven composite design of RHEDA 2000®. At the same time, it avoids the disadvantages associated with long, heavy and project-specific slabs, while simplifying logistics and installation.
