RAILONE

ADAPTABLE TO ANY ENVIRONMENT: ASPHALT, CONCRETE OR COBBLE STONE

RHEDA CITY covered can be designed with rail encapsulation or rubber granulate chamber filler elements. The system’s inherent lateral stability also allows for continuous rail support. The track can be covered with asphalt, concrete, including precast concrete elements, or paving.

RHEDA CITY ADAPTABLE TO ANY ENVIROMENT,  WITH ASPHALT, CONCRETE OR PAVING

RHEDA CITY can be designed as covered track using rail encapsulation systems or rubber granulate chamber filling elements. The system’s inherent lateral stability also allows for continuous rail support. The track can be covered with asphalt, concrete, including precast concrete elements, or paving.

SYSTEM DESIGN OF RHEDA CITY COVERED

The system design remains unchanged for the road-surfaced variant. The track slab is usually concreted to just below the rail foot, allowing the rails to be recessed to the required depth. With continuous rail support, by contrast, the concrete extends up to the rail foot, which is elastically encapsulated to provide resilient support on the track slab.

Wear components such as the rails and track covering can be separated and replaced, usually after 8 to 12 years together with the road surface, effectively renewing the track system.

RHEDA CITY covered can be designed with either flat-bottom rails or, more commonly, grooved rails. Grooved rails have higher manufacturing tolerances and require special fastening systems where construction height is limited. RAILONE developed the NV-1 system specifically for these applications.
