The LIS and TBS sleeper types are standard sleepers for tram and industrial railway applications with axle loads of up to 18 metric tons. They are manufactured in lengths of 1.8 m for narrow-gauge applications and 2.2 m for standard-gauge applications.
In addition to being adapted to the rail profile, rail inclination and rail fastening system, the sleepers can be manufactured with raised rail support points. This provides additional space for the grass substrate in green track applications, for example.
Compared with conventional ballasted track, this allows an attractive year-round appearance to be achieved using standard vegetation, with only minimal additional measures such as rail insulation.
