Turnout Sleepers

Due to the limited standardisation of tram turnouts, wooden sleepers are still frequently used. However, concrete sleepers offer a significantly longer service life and greater safety. The AS-SKL anchor rail fastening system also enables concrete turnout sleepers to be designed and manufactured with a high degree of standardisation.

By using a continuous anchor rail as the fastening element within the sleeper, the only interface that needs to be coordinated during production is the sleeper length. Short lead times and high sleeper availability therefore play an important role in reducing overall turnout delivery times.
