RAILONE

GUIDANCE AND GUARD RAIL SYSTEM: SAFETY FOR HEAVY HAUL TRANSPORT

Specially developed for axle loads of up to 32.5 tonnes, RAILONE’s guidance and restraint rail system enhances operational safety on demanding routes and in tight curves. It prevents rail climbing, reduces the risk of derailment and reliably keeps trains on the track in the event of an incident, protecting both the infrastructure and adjacent facilities.

This robust system solution is designed for use with AR 06 and AR 17 sleepers and can also be retrofitted using additional anchor bolts.

The RAILONE guard and guide rail system was developed specifically for heavy haul applications with axle loads of up to 32.5 tonnes. It is currently used in combination with the AR 06 and AR 17 sleeper types deployed on the Arabian Peninsula.

The guard rail system protects against wheel climb and prevents derailment on tight curves, while the restraint rail system keeps a derailed train within the track area and prevents collisions with adjacent technical equipment. The sleepers feature four or eight additional anchor bolts, allowing the system to be installed retrospectively.

The guard rail system and restraint rail system differ in their flangeway width, meaning the horizontal distance from the adjacent running rail. This distance is 80 mm for the guard rail system and 180 mm for the restraint rail system.

The system comprises GRT 1 and GRT 2 cast-iron brackets for securing 33C1 rails using special T-head bolts, coil springs and nuts. The restraint rail profiles are fitted with tapered entry devices at their ends.
