INTELLIGENT SLEEPERS WITH INTEGRATED MONITORING

With the Integrated Monitoring System (IMS) and integrated RFID chips, RAILONE makes sleepers measurable and digitally traceable. The IMS records stress loads directly within the track structure, while the RFID chip permanently links relevant production and life cycle data to each individual sleeper. This provides precise data for predictive maintenance and more efficient planning throughout the entire life cycle.

Continuously increasing traffic loads combined with shorter maintenance intervals are placing growing demands on the railway system and, consequently, on the track infrastructure. These demands can only be met if all components and processes are optimised. This requires precise data, ideally measured directly on site under prevailing operating conditions and continuously monitored.

For this purpose, RAILONE offers the IMS measuring system, which reliably determines stress loads in the sleeper. RAILONE has also expanded its product portfolio to include an RFID chip that can be integrated into any type of sleeper. This makes it possible to store production data and other technical information generated throughout the sleeper’s life cycle and assign it directly to the product. By scanning the chip, the data can be retrieved reliably at any time.
