RONA: EFFICIENT NOISE PROTECTION FOR BALLASTLESS TRACK
RONA reduces noise directly at its source: the wheel-rail interface. The porous precast concrete elements absorb sound and can reduce the overall noise level generated by rail traffic by up to 3 dB, without the need for additional noise barriers and with minimal installation effort.
As the elements are installed without permanent fixings, the system can be laid quickly, adapted flexibly and removed just as easily when required.
RONANOISE PROTECTION FOR BALLASTLESS TRACK
Ballastless track systems are high-performance solutions used primarily on high-speed or heavily trafficked lines. Such routes often expose local residents to high noise levels, which are typically reduced by noise barriers. However, these can be costly or impractical where space is limited.
The RONA RAILONE Noise Absorber provides an effective alternative, particularly when combined with additional noise mitigation measures. It consists of precast concrete elements whose specially designed surface structure and porosity effectively absorb noise generated at the wheel-rail interface, reducing the overall noise level of rail traffic by up to three decibels. The absorber elements can cover all or part of the track surface and are held securely in place by their own weight, eliminating the need for additional fixings. This allows the system to be installed quickly and efficiently and removed just as easily when required.
Effective reduction of noise generated at the wheel-rail interface through specially developed precast concrete elements with an optimized surface structure and porosity
Fast and efficient installation and easy removal, as the elements can cover all or part of the track surface
No additional fixings required, as the precast absorber elements are held securely in place by their own weight
Maximum safety through the use of industrially manufactured elements that meet the highest quality standards
High cost-effectiveness thanks to straightforward installation without additional drilling or bolting to secure the elements
High flexibility and proven long-term effectiveness across a wide range of rail applications, from high-speed rail to Urban Transit
No interference with essential maintenance work, for example on rails or rail fastening systems
