RAILONE

UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD, USA

USA HHT for Heavy Haul Transport in the United States

In the United States, RAILONE developed the USA HHS heavy haul tie in collaboration with Union Pacific Railroad, providing a high-performance concrete alternative for heavily loaded freight lines.

Wooden ties have traditionally dominated the North American market. However, growing demands for sustainability and lower life cycle costs led to the development of a high-performance concrete alternative. The USA HHT (Heavy Haul Ties) was developed together with Union Pacific Railroad as a customized solution for heavy haul networks.

The HHT 15 ties types are designed for axle loads of up to 36 metric tons and withstand high mechanical loads and demanding climatic conditions. They comply with AREMA requirements and EN 13230 and can be equipped with various rail fastening systems.
